Connie Welch, DMin

Rev. Dr. Connie Welch is the Founder and President of Emmanuel Christian Institute and Emmanuel Mission Schools. She is the author of “Moving Out From the Pew: Equipping the Saints for the Work of Ministry, A Training Manual for Lay Leaders.” Dr. Welch is an International Preacher, Teacher, and Business Owner who has conducted leadership, entrepreneurship, youth and women’s seminars in both the U.S. and abroad.

Dr. Welch earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Virginia State University and her Masters of Divinity (cum laude) and Doctor of Ministry degrees from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. Dr. Welch served 20 years with the federal government as a Chemist, Product Manager and Branch Chief. She is also the former Dean of Women and Professor of Homiletics, Theology, and Biblical Interpretation at Valley Forge Christian College (now University of Valley Forge), Woodbridge, VA.


Donna Spence, MA

Donna Spence is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Argosy University. She received her BA in Psychology from George Mason University and her MA in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. She is the founding Director of Tamar Recovery Program, a victim advocate ministry, dedicated to healing and helping the hurting and the brokenhearted. She has previously worked as a Victim Advocate and Prevention Specialist with the US military and with Fairfax County (VA).

Donna is a former faculty member of Valley Forge Christian College, Phoenixville PA and Woodbridge, VA. Donna loves art, dance, music, reading, and developing her relationship with Christ.


Rev. Dr. Isaac Kweku Koomson

Rev. Dr. Isaac Koomson is the Senior Pastor at Calvary Assemblies of God, Abura Cape Coast, Ghana. He previously served as an Instructor and Regional Director of Evangelism at the Southern Ghana Bible College, West Africa. Rev. Dr. Isaac Koomson received a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Applied Theology in 2005 and a Master of Theology degree in 2008 from the University of Wales. Rev. Dr. Isaac Koomson is a Master of Philosophy candidate at the University of Cape Coast, where he is doing a specialized course in peace studies. It is Rev. Koomson’s desire to be a conflict resolution practitioner. Rev. Dr. Isaac Koomson currently received an honorary Doctor of Divinity from King of Kings World Foundation/Rescue Mission Theological University.


Dr. Najm Shamim

Dr. Najm Shamim is the Founding Member and Former Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Islamic Center of Maryland. He is currently a member of the Interfaith Dialogue Committee, sponsoring and participating in interfaith communications and events. And, he is a member of the Zakat committee, where he is responsible for the distribution of funds to the poor, and an active volunteer in providing food and shelter to the homeless in Montgomery County, MD. Dr. Shamim earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry from Howard University and his Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Catholic University. He is a former federal employee, having served as a Chemist with the Environmental Protection Agency.


Dr. Quentin Newhouse

Dr. Quentin Newhouse, Jr's previous experience as a Former Dean and University Administrator spans four decades. He currently serves as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement for ECI. Dr. Newhouse is the President of Q Newhouse Coaching Strategies, Inc., located in Montreal, Quebec Canada. He also serves as a Deacon at the Temple Baptist Church in Montreal.
